The Perks of Being a Wallflower

Since its publication in 1999, Stephen Chbosky's novel, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, has been embraced by teen readers looking for a novel that tells the truth of their lives. Wallflower resonates on a level that invokes cult-like followers.  As one reader writes, "Man, sometimes I just get lost and forget that it’s not me, I’m not there..."

The movie based on the novel is due out in theaters this fall. So there's plenty of time to read the book first. See if you agree with Charlie when he says, "It's strange because sometimes, I read a book, and I think I am the people in the book."
