Frankenpets!

What is a Frankenpet? It's a bit like Frankenstein's monster; a limb from here, a head from there. Except that we are operating on stuffed animals. Cameron Schmoke displays two frankenpets. The one on the right is one she made herself from a lion and a bear. She calls it, "Li-bear-ian."

Open Mic Night

Everyone has at least one poem in them! If you're looking for a safe place to share your poem, come to Palm Harbor's Open Mic Night on Friday, April 13. It will be held on the outside terrace (weather permitting) at The Witch's Brew. We'll be starting at 8:00pm and finishing by 9:00pm. If you need a little extra inspiration, check out Take the Mic: The Art of Performance Poetry, Slam, and the Spoken Word by Marc Kelly Smith. You'll find plenty of encouraging words, tips for composing your work, and tips for performance. Take a look at some teen poetry at Teen Ink. Teen Ink is a publication/web site that only publishes the work of teenagers. If you would like to share your work with a larger audience, consider submitting to Teen Ink.

Teen Mystery Night at the Library!

Don't miss the excitement of solving a mystery - in the Palm Harbor Library! The Youth Advisory Board hosts their annual whodunit for teen detectives. It all takes place on Saturday, March 24, beginning at 6:00pm (when the library is closed for the night, of course.) Registration is required.
